The Phoenix and the Serpent: a Harry Potter RP

Who: Samantha and Draco
Where: Diagon Alley Apothecary
When: Saturday Afternoon

Getting out of Hogwarts for the weekend was no easy task, but Draco managed it. Saturday afternoon he found himself in Diagon Alley, pushing his way into Samantha's Apothecary shop. The place smelled just as much as he remembered. He glanced around to see how many other shoppers there were before he made his way to the front. "Excuse me, I do believe there are some items waiting for me?"

Draco's eyebrow raised in surprise. His name? She didn't remember, obviously, but he remembered her. "Funny, people don't usually forget a Malfoy after having met one," he leaned on the counter, a small smirk tilting his lips, "Draco Malfoy, and you are Samantha, and this is your quaint little shop, and it's Saturday."

Woah. Sorry for disappearing. Life kidnapped me.

"You assume correctly, although I have to say assuming usually leads to bad things," Draco grinned, "So do you have my things or not? Oh, what's this?" he picked up a small ball sitting on the counter and turned it in his hand, "What does it do exactly?"

Draco grinned, "Burglars pick up shiny things eh? Stupid burglars. I knew what it was, I just testing you," he ran his fingers along the counter top, eyes drifting over her form as she crouched to grab his things.

She was... cute, in her own way. All women, really, were cute. He supposed he was just a fan of the female figure in general. "Fourteen? Fifteen?" he stared at her, aghast, "Are you attempting to insult me? Or are you just daft?" He couldn't tell. Sometimes people took cracks at him so subtly he felt a bit lost after.

Draco winced, "Must you persist on insulting me, woman? Do you have no tact at all? I think I shall have to speak to this... Mr. Esky about your manners. After all, insulting the customer is hardly the way to ensure further business with them."

He eyed the parcel when she set it on the counter, "As for why I need all that... well, you see, I am concocting a potion that will make someone's skin boil and their eyes pop it." He said it perfectly deadpan. In reality, such a potion would require different ingredients then the ones he had in there.

"Ah, see, but the difference is, I am not attempting to sell you anything so my manners are a completely moot point," Draco pointed out.

"Interesting little tidbits there, I'll keep it in mind if I should desire to create such a spell... but I don't. This is all for extra potion points, that's all. Nothing important. Now, here is your money, and if you would a large, inconspicuous bag would be appreciated."

"Wrong, I'm a customer. You want me to come back don't you? And spend my money at the shop where you work." Draco grinned at her, "Yeah, a plain brown bag would be fine. An invisible one would be better, "he snickered. He highly doubted they had something like that. Mind you if they did it would probably be damned difficult to work with.

"not to mention that if you set the bag down you could lose it for good, or if you accidentally drop and it's been made correctly you could be screwed out of your things."

He took the bag, "Thank you, miss, it's been not so much a pleasure, but certainly an endeavor doing business with you."

He grinned at her. She was an odd girl, but he didn't mind. She amused him to a certain degree.

Draco laughed, how could he not laugh after a comment like that. He nodded his head, "Good day," he turned and headed for the exit, glancing into his bag to make sure she'd put everything he wanted inside. He turned to look back at her when he was at the door, "Funny girl," he murmured.
